Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls and experience of grind, GR70+

When you actually consider that powerleveling from 1 to 70 takes only up to 20 minutes, while getting through it solo would take even up to 10h (I think in best case you can make it in about 5h) it feels amazing. Lvl 1-30 is few seconds. I prefer it to ability of creating 70 lvl character for sake of approaching end game and GR grinding faster. You can also say that it makes some community interaction because you need to beg for it. Usually it takes max. 5 minutes if you are not hardcore seasonal and ask on “powerleveling” or “boosting” community chat, or even General.

End Game

Approaching end game, that is: post-lvl70 grinding for items, paragon levels, and getting higher in GR, is as I pointed out quite simple.

How does powerlevel work?

It’s all thanks to the ingame scaling system and mentioned paragon levels. If someone with paragon level like >800 cames to relatively easy difficulty for him like T6 (Torment VI) and goes for Rift, he will slice through enemies like through bread and you will get 1600% extra gold bonus and 1600% extra XP bonus for each kill he makes. You don’t need to participate in kills in any way, just stand at the begining of the Rift.

Where to start

If you never played campaign, go for it. Don’t start with powerleveling and getting some equipment to make build. Just go through it. You’ll get to know class better and some people even say that they enjoyed getting through it multiple times - Blizzard is well known for quality content, even if the story is corny, predictable and illogical at times. For me, two times where just enough - now if I want to make new character with class that I never played, I prefer to powerlevel and then read about the class itself, and learn builds.

Greater Rifts

At the moment, I’m on >400lvl with playtime of about 100h. About 50h of it is time that i spent on vanilla, where I had >150lvl. Reaper of Souls Expansion with Adventure Mode made everything incredibly fast, and in fact made the end game possible, because it gave you clearer goal. Without it and paragons you would be left with the limit made by items with highest possible stats.

High level

Now that I have access to T13 I can join games with guys with lvl 2000 or higher. They can clear GR70+ easily, and the boost that you get from it is huge - 8200% more EXP. But if you’re looking for advice, I wouldn’t recommend going straight into T13 right after gaining ability to go there. Going three to four difficulty levels beneath the one you’re efficient at is kind of a sweetspot where you will be gaining considerable amount of EXP, your survivability won’t be at 0 so getting loot at Rifts won’t be impossible, and your damage output is barely - but still - visible, so you can enjoy yourself by using your skills or by being support.
